What still needs to be done?
Because of the natural drying time of the wood that we respected, and the manual building method, construction has taken over three years. At this moment, the loghome is almost ready, but you can already live in it. We are living in the loghome ourselves at this moment, but the finishing touches still need to be laid. We left them mostly for the new owner as this is very personal. Here is a description of the current situation:
gound floor:
There is a hallway, a bedroom, living room with kitchen and a bathroom. The interior walls still need to be finished with paint, the bathroom needs to be installed there is only a toilet for the moment. Water and electrical supply is already present in the walls. The kitchen still needs to be installed, altough there is a sink, refrigerator and some kitchen furniture.
first floor:
There is a bedroom and a temporary bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. The rest of the first floor still is one great big open space. One could easily add two more bedrooms and one or two seperate toilets with sink (connections are in place). Or just leave it like it is, its a gorgeous space. There is also a wood stove. There is a balcony (22m2) with two balcony doors.
Yes, that is right, you can still decide how many rooms you would like upstairs! For the rest, the layout of the house is largely determined.
Garden landscaping is open to your personal taste.
